Kitchen equipment is not working properly. What should I do?

If your appliance has a quality issue or is not working correctly, please first check that it is within the warranty period. If it is under warranty, please contact the manufacturer directly.

Product quality and safety are top priorities for IKEA, and all our products undergo rigorous testing before they are sold. Therefore, many kitchen appliances sold at IKEA are covered by a manufacturer's quality guarantee in addition to an initial one-year warranty for defects. You can confirm the purchase date by checking your order confirmation/receipt. If you used your IKEA Family account at the time of purchase, you can also log in to your IKEA Family account and check under Purchase History.
The steps to take when an appliance is not working correctly vary depending on the manufacturer. The manufacturer's name, model name, and serial number are usually located on a rating plate inside the appliance.

For appliances other than TILLREDA and SÅGHAJ

If your appliance is within the warranty period, please contact the manufacturer directly.
Each manufacturer's contact information is listed in the instruction manual included with the appliance. If you have already spoken with the manufacturer and require further assistance, please contact the IKEA Customer Support Center at 050-4560-0494 (hours: 10:00–18:00). Please have your order number/receipt ready when you call.

For the IKEA TILLREDA appliance

For IKEA products like TILLREDA, please have your order number/receipt ready and contact the IKEA Customer Support Center. We will arrange for an exchange in-store or by delivery, at your convenience. You can also receive a refund if you prefer. The refund will be credited back to the original payment method used for the purchase.
When you come to an IKEA store, please go directly to the Returns counter with the product (if possible) and your order number/receipt. If there is a safety risk in transporting the product to the store, please leave it at home.
If the item is in stock, a store co-worker will help you with an exchange that you can take home. Before your visit, please check the product's stock availability on the IKEA website's product page or by requesting a stock check from our chatbot. If the product is out of stock, or if you are unable to take it home yourself, we will arrange to have the replacement product delivered to your home.
If you are returning the product, the refund will be credited back to the original payment method.

For the SÅGHAJ appliance

Please contact the IKEA Customer Support Center at 050-4560-0494 (hours: 10:00–18:00). Please have your order number/receipt ready when you call. Once you contact us, we will check with the manufacturer and provide you with further instructions.
