Parts are missing from my product. What should I do?

If parts are missing, you can order them online, pick them up at an IKEA store, or arrange for delivery through the IKEA Customer Support Center.

We're sorry for the inconvenience. If you find that parts are missing from your product, please first open and check all the boxes you brought home or had delivered, as some products come in multiple packages. If parts are still missing, the next steps depend on the 6- or 8-digit spare part number for the missing part, which is listed in the assembly instructions. Small spare parts like screws and wooden dowels have part numbers, but some parts do not.
If you don't have the assembly instructions, you can find them by searching for the product on the IKEA website and going to "Product details" > "Assembly & documents" > "Assembly instructions".
Please note that screws for wall mounting are not included. The type of screw required depends on the material and construction of your wall.

If there is a 6- or 8-digit part number:

If you find the 6- or 8-digit part number for the missing part, you can order spare parts using the online form on IKEA.com. They will be delivered directly to you free of charge in about 10 days. (Please note that it may take longer than 10 days in some cases.)
If you need the parts more urgently, most IKEA stores have a small selection of spare parts available near the Returns counter. Stock availability may vary, but if the parts are in stock, you can take them home with you (at our city stores, IKEA Harajuku/IKEA Shibuya, please speak to a co-worker at the Returns counter). If the spare parts are not in stock when you visit an IKEA store, a co-worker will arrange to have them mailed to you. Please ask a co-worker at the Returns counter.

If there is no 6- or 8-digit part number:

If you cannot find a part number for the missing part, please contact the Returns counter at an IKEA store or our Customer Support Center (050-4560-0494, hours: 10:00–18:00). When you contact us, please be sure to have your original receipt or delivery note and the assembly instructions on hand. If you used your IKEA Family account for the purchase, you can log in to access the receipt from your purchase history.
When you visit an IKEA store, please go to the Returns counter near the exit. If the part is in stock at the store, you can take it with you immediately. If it's not in stock, we will arrange for it to be delivered to your home as soon as it becomes available.
If you call the IKEA Customer Support Center, a co-worker will help identify the missing part and arrange for delivery if necessary.
