My product is subject to a recall. What should I do?

If you have a product that is subject to a recall, please stop using it immediately. You can visit your nearest IKEA store or contact the IKEA Customer Support Center (050-4560-0494, hours: 10:00–18:00) to return the product for a full refund.

All IKEA products are thoroughly designed and tested to ensure they are safe for our customers and comply with applicable standards and legislation. Despite meeting these testing standards, in rare cases, we may have to recall a specific product due to safety concerns that were not previously detected.
If you are an IKEA Family member, we will notify you by email if a product you purchased using your IKEA Family account is recalled. You can also check the latest recall information on IKEA.com.
If your product is subject to a recall, please stop using it immediately. If it requires power, please unplug it as a precaution. You can return the product for a full refund at your convenience by either bringing it to an IKEA store or by contacting the IKEA Customer Support Center by phone.

If you bring the product to an IKEA store:

If the product is small and you feel it is safe to transport, please bring it to your nearest IKEA store as soon as possible. When you arrive at the store, please go to the Returns counter located near the exit. If you have the receipt, you can receive a refund to the original payment method used for the purchase. If you used your IKEA Family account for the purchase, you can log in to your account and find the receipt under Purchase History. If you do not have a receipt for the recalled product, you will be refunded with an IKEA return card.

If you contact the IKEA Customer Support Center by phone:

You can also contact the IKEA Customer Support Center by phone. If an IKEA co-worker can find your receipt/proof of purchase, you can receive a refund to the original payment method used for the purchase. If the receipt cannot be found, you will be refunded with an IKEA return card. A co-worker can also guide you on how to safely dispose of the recalled product.
