How does IKEA assembly service work?
With our Assembly service, a trusted, certified assembly company will assemble your IKEA furniture at your home. You can book the Assembly service at checkout in-store or online, or at any time you like. You can choose between two types of services: IKEA's Assembly service and assembly support from a certified supporter.
IKEA's Assembly Service
You can book and pay for Assembly service when you place your order in-store, at the online store, or through our phone order service. If you have already purchased your products, please contact our Customer Support Center (050-4560-0494, open 10:00–18:00).
Booking online:
- Add your desired products to your cart on IKEA.jp.
- At checkout, enter your postal code to confirm service availability.
Select the items you want to have assembled. - Review and agree to Assembly Service Terms and Conditions.
- After confirming that the correct items are selected for assembly, select two separate dates: one for product delivery and one for assembly.
- Whether you can book delivery and assembly for the same day depends on your area and availability.
- Assembly and delivery are handled by different companies. We do not deliver assembled products.
- Choose your payment method and complete your purchase.
- Please note: All fees for products, delivery, and Assembly services are paid through IKEA.
- Products requiring wall fixing
- Products requiring installation work, e.g. plumbing
- Other products that we have set up as "Not online available".
