When assembling BILLY, the bobbin-like parts (cam lock) did not come off. Is there a way to remove it?
If you notice that you made a mistake on the front and back of the riser plate at the foot near the end of the assembly, instead of pulling out all the nails driven into the back board and reassembling, you can unlock the cam lock and assemble.
How to unlock the cam lock and disassemble
- Unlock the cam locks (four corners, etc.) that hold the frame part.
- Lift the side plate upward.
- The other side of the plate will come off while the cam screw is still in the screw hole of the plate.
(When the cam lock is unlocked, the hole faces the screw side, and if the direction of the hole is correct, the screw will come out together with the plate with the screw. )
*Even if the back board is nailed, it may be possible to remove it without any structural problems, so please check the assembly instructions carefully.
*It can be applied not only to BILLY but also to other drawers with similar specifications.
