Garden dining chairs

When the sun finally comes out the draw to start dining al fresco can't be denied. Find comfortable garden dining chairs in many styles, materials and sizes to pull up to your garden dining table. Make your outdoor dining chairs even more comfortable with the addition of seat cushions.

Before the warmer months of the year arrive, it’s a good idea to organise your outside space. Sweep away the leaves, dust and dirt. Plant some seeds or rearrange the flowerbed.

Then, decorate your space with garden chairs or benches, to relax and enjoy your little oasis as it comes back to life.

Garden chairs and benches for every occasion

Choosing the right chairs or benches for your garden, patio or balcony depends on how you like to use the space. Here’s a short guide about our selection of outdoor seating and how best to use them.

Be flexible with foldable and stackable outdoor dining chairs

If you have a spacious patio, you can be more flexible with your seating. Whether you need more seats for entertaining guests or want to use the extra space for sunbathing, the choice is yours.

For added flexibility, several of our garden chairs are stackable or foldable, so they’re quick and easy to get out and put away. This comes in handy if you’ve got a smaller garden or balcony, especially when you need to clear the space for other activities.

Outdoor chairs when you need to relax

Want to create an outside space to sit back and relax in? Check out our garden chairs with adjustable back rests. With a push of a button you can either sit up to have a conversation or lay back and work on your tan.

We also offer garden chairs styled as outdoor armchairs. They’re a great way to create a cosy outdoor lounge area for when you want to do some reading in the sun.

Outdoor benches to enjoy your outside space

An outdoor bench makes a great complement to garden chairs. A bench by a hedge or under a tree creates an idyllic spot for you to sit and enjoy your garden. If you want to save on space, go for a bench instead of an outdoor sofa or table and chair set. Pop it in the corner of your patio alongside a small table to create the perfect morning coffee spot.

Want to show off your creative side? Use a garden bench as an outdoor shelf for garden ornaments instead. Or choose a bench without a back rest and use it as a growing area, with a few herb and salad pots on top. You could even sit it next to your barbeque for quick access to fresh herbs and condiments. Or stand it beside your back door and you’ll be able to pick some parsley or spinach easily on your way in.

Take care of your garden chairs and benches

To make sure your chairs or benches last for seasons to come, it’s important that you take care of them the right way. Different materials need different levels of care. For instance, wood needs a bit more attention compared to plastic or metal.

For wooden styles, it’s a good idea to re-stain them once or twice a year. This helps to prevent them from drying out and cracking in spots where moisture can penetrate the wood.

Keeping plastic or metal chairs and benches clean is a little easier. Simply grab a damp cloth and a little soap to wipe them down and prevent dirt, mould or mildew from building up. The main thing to protect against is harsh weather conditions. For the colder months, preferably store your furniture indoors in the garage, shed or basement. If you need to keep them outdoors, make sure to cover them with something, like a waterproof furniture cover.
