Which materials can I return to an IKEA store?

IKEA stores offer different ways to return and sort materials. The materials accepted and the locations of the collection points may vary between stores.

Stores may have collection and sorting points for materials such as cardboard, paper, glass, metal, plastic, lamps, batteries and small electrical items.

Vantaa
The sorting point at the IKEA store in Vantaa is located after the checkout area next to the packaging point. You can return cardboard, energy waste, clear plastic, mixed waste, LED bulbs and batteries there. Large cardboard can be brought to customer service. It can also be left in the cardboard collection containers in the loading area next to the parcel locker. Small electrical items can be returned free of charge to customer service if none of the item’s external dimensions exceeds 25 centimetres.
Espoo
The sorting point at the IKEA store in Espoo is located in front of customer service at the end of the checkout area. You can return batteries, fluorescent tubes, energy-saving bulbs, LED and halogen bulbs, glass for collection and metal there.Large cardboard can be brought to customer service. There is also a cardboard collection container in the loading area.Small electrical items can be returned free of charge to customer service if none of the item’s external dimensions exceeds 25 centimetres.
Raisio
The sorting point at the IKEA store in Raisio is located between the checkout area and customer service near the exit. You can return batteries, bulbs, fluorescent tubes, cardboard, paper, glass, metal and small electrical items there. There is also a collection point for textiles that are no longer suitable for use on the store premises. A cardboard collection container is located in the parking area near the order collection point.
Kuopio
The sorting point at the IKEA store in Kuopio is located after the checkout area next to the packaging point. You can return cardboard, energy waste, clear plastic, mixed waste, LED bulbs and batteries there.
Large cardboard can be brought to customer service. It can also be left in the cardboard collection containers in the loading area next to the parcel locker. Small electrical items can be returned free of charge to customer service if none of the item’s external dimensions exceeds 25 centimetres.
Other stores in the Matkus shopping centre also offer different return options. Some stores accept, for example, used or damaged clothing, home textiles and sports equipment. For current information about the stores that accept these products, visit the Matkus shopping centre website. Empty cardboard, glass, metal and plastic packaging from your home can be taken to a Rinki eco-point. The point also has paper and clothing collection. It is located in the shopping centre’s courtyard near K-Supermarket.
Another collection point in Matkus is located at the IKEA end of the shopping centre, by entrance A on the first floor under the escalators.
Tampere
The sorting point at the IKEA store in Tampere is located after the checkout area next to the packaging point. You can return cardboard, energy waste, glass, metal, mixed waste, bulbs, fluorescent tubes and batteries there. Small electrical items can be returned free of charge to customer service if none of the item’s external dimensions exceeds 25 centimetres.
