Do you accept recyclable materials in your store?

IKEA <3 more sustainable everyday life. We strive to make recycling easy by offering recycling opportunities for different materials in our stores.

Below is a summary of the recycling options available in our stores. In addition to the recycling points, our Second Hand service also accepts your used furniture, read more: Second Hand service.

Vantaa

The recycling point is located after the checkout line, next to the packing station. The recycling point has bins for cardboard, energy fraction, clear plastic, mixed waste, LED bulbs and batteries. Large cardboard can also be brought to the customer service desk for recycling or left in the cardboard collection bins in the loading area next to the Click & Collect pick-up machine. Small electrical appliances (none of which exceed 25 cm in external dimensions) can be returned free of charge to Customer Services. 

Espoo

The recycling point is located in front of the customer service at the end of the checkout line. At the point you can recycle batteries, fluorescent tubes, energy-saving light bulbs, LED and halogen bulbs, recyclable glass and metal. Large cardboard boxes can be brought to the customer service desk for recycling, and there is also a cardboard collection bin in the loading area. Small electrical appliances (no larger than 25 cm) can be returned free of charge to Customer Services.

Raisio

The recycling point is located between the checkout line and the customer service area near the exit. The recycling point has containers for batteries, light bulbs, fluorescent tubes, cardboard, paper, glass, metal and small electronics. In addition, there is a textile disposal skip. There is also a cardboard collection bin in the parking area by the Click & Collect point.

Kuopio        

The recycling point is located after the checkout line, next to the packing station. The recycling point has bins for cardboard, energy fraction, clear plastic, mixed waste, LED bulbs and batteries. Large cardboard can also be brought to the customer service desk for recycling or left in the cardboard collection bins in the loading area next to the Click & Collect pick-up machine. Small electrical appliances (none of which exceed 25 cm in external dimensions) can be returned free of charge to Customer Services. 

There are also many recycling opportunities at Matkus shopping centre: several shops accept used and broken clothes, household textiles and sports equipment, among other things. For a detailed list of shops, visit the Matkus shopping centre website. Empty cardboard, glass, metal and plastic packaging accumulated at home can be taken to the RINKI collection point. There is also a paper collection point and a bin for clothes. The collection point is located in the yard of the shopping centre, near the K-Supermarket.

The Matkus shopping centrecollection point is located at the IKEA end of the shopping centre (door A) on the 1st floor under the escalators. 

Tampere

The recycling point is located after the checkout line, next to the packing station. The recycling point has bins for cardboard, energy fraction, glass, metal, mixed waste, light bulbs, fluorescent tubes and batteries. Small electrical appliances (no larger than 25 cm) can be returned free of charge to customer services.
