For how long will I be able to use my smart products with DIRIGERA hub?

Already purchased smart products from IKEA can be connected to DIRIGERA hub and managed in the IKEA Home smart app.

As new features, standards, and safety improvements are being added, in time older products may no longer support these. This is a result of our work to improve the smart home system and make it better for the many people.

  • Can I use the smart products from IKEA I already have at home with DIRIGERA hub and the IKEA Home smart app?

    Yes. All smart products in our range can be paired with DIRIGERA hub.

  • What ways are there to control my smart home, to turn the lights on or off, etc.?

    With DIRIGERA hub in your home, you enjoy new ways of managing your smart products from IKEA – individually, by room or simultaneously.

  • Can I keep expanding my smart home with new product releases from IKEA if I have a TRÅDFRI gateway?

    As we keep developing new smart products, and as the technology they require also evolves rapidly, not all smart products will be able to connect to TRÅDFRI gateway and will require DIRIGERA hub instead.

  • How close to DIRIGERA hub and my Wi-Fi router do the smart products need to be placed to connect?

    The closest smart product should be placed within 10 metres (the range is measured in open air) from DIRIGERA hub.

  • Can I get support from IKEA with setting up my smart home?

    DIRIGERA hub and the smart home experience is designed to be easy to use and simple to set up.

  • How about guests in my smart home, how can they control things like lighting?

    With DIRIGERA hub, you can control your home in many different ways, and our range of remote controls is a great way for your guests to use your smart products.
