What is included in the IKEA kitchen installation service?
The IKEA kitchen installation service includes the full cabinet assembly, worktop fitting, installation of appliances and sinks, as well as lighting and finishing details, so your kitchen is completely ready to go.
The service includes the following:
- Cabinets & Structure
- Assembly, installation and securing of all IKEA cabinets
- Fitting and securing of all handles and knobs, doors, drawers, rails, filler pieces, plinths, decorative strips and cornices
- Worktops
- Cutting and fitting of prefabricated and custom-made laminate and wood veneer worktops from the IKEA range
(Glass, quartz and ceramic worktops are not included in the service, as they are installed by a separate specialist partner. The coordination is done as part of your order.) - Creating cut-outs for hobs and sinks
- Cutting and fitting of prefabricated and custom-made laminate and wood veneer worktops from the IKEA range
- Appliances, sinks & taps
- Installation of IKEA appliances
(Gas connections must be made separately and are not included in the service) - Installation of IKEA sinks and taps
- Connecting the IKEA sink's waste trap to existing plumbing, if it is in the sink cabinet
Good to know:
Appliances that are not part of the IKEA range (third-party devices), are installed and connected by our installation team when they are new and stilll within their original packaging. However, no functional test is carried out. Existing devices (old devices) are installed but not connected.
Do you want only your appliances to be connected? That is also possible.
We offer the installation and connection of IKEA appliances to existing, DIN-compliant on-site connections – both in IKEA kitchens and in third-party kitchens, provided the installation dimensions are compatible.
Please note:
Appliances that are not part of the IKEA range (third-party devices) cannot be installed or connected using this service. In addition, all old appliances must already be dismantled before the service can be performed.
The service costs a one-time fee of 79.00 Euro.

What services are not included in the kitchen installation service?
Some activities are not part of the standard service. These include, for example:
- Preparation and demolition work
- Measurement or planning of your kitchen (these are separate IKEA services)
- Dismantling and disposal of your old kitchen
- Structural changes, such as moving walls, windows or doors
- Utility connections
- Electrical work: This includes setting up new sockets, hardwiring devices and working on the fuse board. This work must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
- Gas work: The connection or disconnection of gas appliances must be carried out by a licensed specialist.
- Plumbing: All work that goes beyond connecting the sink trap to a suitable, existing water connection in the sink cabinet is excluded. This includes, for example, the relocation of pipes or the installation of new water lines.
- Decorative work & custom-made products
- Tiling, plastering, painting or flooring
- Installing appliances that were not purchased from IKEA
- Individual adaptations to IKEA cabinets or additional custom-made carpentry
- Service limitations
- The service does not cover the sole installation of only one worktop, sink or appliance
Note on additional work
Should additional work be required which are covered by the installation team, our IKEA kitchen experts will discuss this with you. Additional costs may arise, which will be billed separately.
