How do I manage my IKEA Family profile?

The IKEA Family account allows you to manage your personal data, communication preferences and digital receipts independently in the profile. The IKEA Family Card is available digitally, is personal and can also be used abroad. For benefits such as the birthday voucher, the newsletter settings must be active and the profile data must be stored correctly in good time.

1. Manage your IKEA Family account

 

1.1 Updating Personal Information

If you want to change your name, address or e-mail, you can do it yourself:
  1. Log in to your IKEA Family Profile
  2. Select "Edit Profile".
  3. Update your data and save the changes.
You can make small changes yourself at any time.
If something is technically stuck, just enter in the chat „IKEA Family“ – we will be happy to help you.
 

1.2 Adjusting Marketing & Communication Settings

Decide for yourself how we can reach you – for example with the newsletter, offers or your Birthday voucher.

To customize everything:

  1. Log in
  2. Select "Edit Profile"
  3. Under "Settings → communication" Tick or remove
  4. Save changes.
 

Important to know:

  • Without a newsletter, you will not receive a birthday voucher.
  • If you don't get any emails, take a look at your spam folder.
 

1.3 Digital receipts

If you use your IKEA Family Card when shopping, we'll automatically save everything for you.
  • Receipts can be retrieved at any time
  • Returns become easier
  • Perfect for keeping track of your spending
 

1.4 Save and use your credit card on IKEA.de

It's that simple:

  • Log in as an IKEA Family member.
  • Select credit card as your payment method.
  • Enter your card details and tick the box to save the card.
  • Confirm the terms and conditions - done.
The payment is completed and your card details are stored securely.

Paying with a saved card

For your next purchase:
  • Log in to your IKEA Family member.
  • Your saved card will appear at the top of the payment options.
  • Choosing the card and entering the security code (CVV).
  • Confirm the payment as usual via 3D Secure.
 

Manage saved cards

You can find your credit cards in your customer account in the "Payment methods" tab.
  • The tab is displayed even if no card is saved.
  • Cards can only be removed there.
  • Expired cards are automatically deleted and no longer displayed.

How to remove a card:

  • Open the "Payment methods" tab and click on "Edit".
  • Choosing the card and clicking on "Delete".
  • Confirm the deletion - or cancel and return.
Simple, clear and always under your control.

2. Your IKEA Family Card

 

2.1 Lost card? Don't worry!

Your digital IKEA Family card is always at hand – preferably in the IKEA app.
Simply download the IKEA app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store
Log in
Digital card automatically available.
Don't have an online profile yet?
Then you can do it very easily recreate.
 

2.2 Can someone else use my card?

In a nutshell: No.
The IKEA Family card is personal and non-transferable.
But: Every person can secure their own membership free of charge – online or directly in the furniture store.
 

3. Your birthday voucher

 

3.1 Didn't get a voucher? This could be the reason:

  • Newsletter is not activated
  • Email ended up in spam
  • Data was not entered at least 4 weeks before your birthday
To receive your voucher, you need:
  • an active IKEA Family membership.
  • activated newsletter setting.
  • correctly stored data.
The following applies to children: We send vouchers up to their 17th birthday.
Check data:
In the profile under "Profile → Interest & Communication"
If everything is correct, but you have not received a voucher: Write in the chat „IKEA Family“

4.1 Benefits of a Customer Profile

With an IKEA customer profile, you can easily keep an eye on many things:
Manage orders
  • Download receipts
  • Submit a complaint
  • Order spare parts
  • Access to family benefits and IKEA for business
 

4.2 Forgot your password? No problem!

On the sign-up page, you can:
Reset Password
  • "Sign in with password"
  • Select "Reset Password"
Request a one-time code
  • Enter e-mail
  • Request code
Register if no profile exists yet
  • "Create a private customer profile" or
  • "Create Enterprise Customer Profile"

5.1 Do I need IKEA Family?

No – Shop & Go also works without a membership.
But as an IKEA Family member, you have extra benefits:
Quotes appear automatically.
Convenient login with your profile.
