How can I check the balance of my IKEA gift card or prepaid card?

You can check the balance of your gift or prepaid card online or in-store.

Check your balance online

To check your balance, please follow these steps:
  1. Close this chat completely. This step is important for the solution to work.
  2. Go to the IKEA.com homepage and open the chat again.
  3. You'll find a "Check card balance" button there. Simply click it to check your balance.

Check your balance in the IKEA store

If you want to check your balance on site, you can do so directly:
  • at the checkout in the IKEA store.
After each purchase, the remaining amount of your card will also be automatically displayed on the receipt.
Important notes on activation and use
  • IKEA gift cards are activated immediately when purchased in an IKEA store and after 24 hours when purchased online.
  • IKEA gift cards from third-party retailers will be activated within 36 hours.
  • Gift cards cannot be exchanged or returned.
Surprise Coupon for IKEA Family Members
Selected IKEA Family members may receive a personal Surprise Coupon. The coupon is worth at least £€10 and may be worth up to €1,000. The value of the coupon is not revealed in advance and is only displayed when the coupon is redeemed during checkout.
The coupon can be used once only, requires a minimum purchase value of €10, and cannot be combined with other coupons or promotions. Any remaining value is forfeited after use. Cash redemption is not possible, and the coupon cannot be used for services or the purchase of IKEA Gift Cards. Approximately one in ten coupons is worth more than €10.
