Choosing sustainable materials

We are continuing our journey towards absolute decoupling of virgin, non-renewable material use from IKEA business growth. We aim to increase the share of recycled and renewable content in IKEA products to at least 90% and to provide new solutions for our customers to prolong the life of products and materials.

Responsibly sourced wool – good for you and the planet

For many years we have prioritised wool sourcing using the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS)*.

*The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) is a voluntary standard that requires all sites, from wool farms to the seller in the final business-to-business transaction, to be certified. RWS farmers and ranchers are evaluated against animal welfare, land management, and social requirements set in the standard.
