Induction cooktops
Induction cooktops are among the most popular today and for good reason. They heat food up to 50 % faster and are around 40 % more energy efficient than traditional cooktops. By transferring energy directly to magnetic cookware, they ensure minimal heat loss and exceptional precision. These cooktops are fast, efficient, easy to clean, and cost effective to run. And as a bonus, the cooktop stops heating the moment you lift the pot.
1. Number of cooking zones
If kitchen space is limited, a small cooktop is an ideal solution. If you have enough space, you can choose cooktops with up to five cooking zones.
- Single-zone cooktop (portable or built-in)
- Two-zone cooktop (portable or built-in)
- Four-zone cooktop
- Five-zone cooktop
A special option is flexible zones, which can be used together to create a versatile cooking surface for pots and pans of various shapes and sizes. For even and consistent cooking results, all flexible zones can be set to the same heat level.
2. Features
Induction cooktops do more than heat quickly. Many models include smart features that make cooking easier and safer. Here are some of the most useful ones, depending on the model you choose:
- Booster function: Delivers extra power to one cooking zone. Perfect for searing or wok cooking. Activates with a single press.
- Child safety lock: Locks the controls when held for 4 seconds. Prevents accidental use and helps during cleaning.
- Timer for each zone: Set individual timers for each cooking zone. Great for precise cooking of eggs, pasta, or rice.
- Pause function: Temporarily lowers heat to a minimum for up to 30 minutes. Ideal when you need to step away.
- Overflow detection: Automatically switches off the cooktop if liquid spills onto the control panel.
- Built-in extractor hood: The extractor automatically adjusts its suction power to the cooktop heat level. The higher the heat the stronger the extraction.
3. Design
Kitchen design matters. That’s why you can choose a cooktop that matches the style of your kitchen.
- Color: available in black or white
- Style of the edges: straight or beveled edges

Gas cooktops
A gas cooktop heats food very quickly and allows easy flame control, helping reduce heat loss compared to electric cooktops. You can also use it during a power outage, so you will not be left without a hot meal. That is not the case with electric or induction cooktops. The drawbacks of a gas cooktop include slightly more complex cleaning and the need to be comfortable working with gas.
1. Number of cooking zones
Choosing the right gas cooktop starts with knowing your cooking needs and kitchen layout. The number of burners affects both convenience and cooking capacity.
- Four-zone cooktop
A gas cooktop with four burners is the most common choice for households. It offers a practical size and enough flexibility for everyday meals. - Five-zone cooktop
If you are aiming for a more professional cooking experience at home and have enough counter space, a five-burner gas cooktop is a great option. It offers more room for multiple pots and pans and gives you greater flexibility when preparing complex meals.
2. Features
Gas cooktops may not have as many smart features as induction ones, but they still include useful functions that enhance safety and convenience in everyday cooking:
- Integrated safety valves: Automatically shut off the gas supply if the flame goes out.
- Sturdy cast iron supports: keep pots and pans stable, making cooking easier and safer. Found on all gas cooktops except LAGAN.
- Electric ignition: All gas cooktops come with electric ignition, so you do not need matches or a lighter to get started.
3. Design
Kitchen design matters and your cooktop should fit right in. Choose from a range of colors to match your style:
