General Terms and Conditions for the Measurement Service
IKEA Česká republika, s. r. o., is a part of IKEA Group, and offers its customers sale of furniture and a wide choice of home accessories, including services, in its stores.For this purpose, IKEA Česká republika, s. r. o., with registered office in Skandinávská 131/1, 155 00 Praha 5, Company ID: 27081052, registered in Companies Register kept by the Municipal Court in Prague, section C, record No. 94828 (hereinafter „The Company“), issues these General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter „GTC“) for the provision of services to customers, governing basic terms and conditions for the provision of individual services.These Terms and Conditions for the Measurement Service come into effect on 1st April 2023 and replace the previous wording of the terms and conditions.The Company reserves the right to amend and/or supplement these Terms and Conditions for Measurement Service at its own discretion. Amendments and/or supplements to these General Terms and Conditions shall not apply to orders for services placed prior to the effective date of such amendment and/or supplement. These GTC are governed by the Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, and form an integral part of each Contract on Measurement Service entered into between the the Company and its customers regarding goods purchased by the customer from the Company (hereinafter „the Customer“).By paying an order for service (hereinafter “the Order”), the Customer confirms that he/she has been made acquainted with the contents of the GTC and accepts them without any reservation. Based on the Order, the Company and the Customer enter into a Contract on Measurement Service (hereinafter ”the Service”).The measurement is carried out by the Company through its employees for the IKEA Ostrava and IKEA Brno department stores or its contractual partner (hereinafter referred to as the "Contractual Partners "), TECHWOOD DESIGN s.r.o., Butra Group, s.r.o., UNITECH Professional, s.r.o. and Supersoused.cz, for IKEA Prague-Černý Most and IKEA Prague-Zličín department stores
The Customer acknowledges that the Company is the exclusive distributor of the IKEA range in the Czech Republic and that the Company is not authorized to sell or distribute the IKEA range for the purpose of resale or rental by the Customer to third parties (in the wholesale mode), both in the Czech Republic, so abroad. By paying for the order, the Customer confirms and declares that he is purchasing the IKEA range, which is the subject of it, exclusively for his own use, that he is the end user of the goods purchased from the Company and that these goods will not be the subject of the Customer's business, in particular in the form of their resale to or rental to third parties.
The Service is provided based on the Customer’s Order. Within the frames of the Service the accurate measurement of the selected area will be performed to enable installation of furniture or kitchen sets of the Company through a Contracting partner, at the date and time specified in the Order. The service is provided only on the territory of the Czech Republic.
As an outcome, measurement protocol shall be provided that can be used as a basis or check of the planned furniture or kitchen set.
The Company shall bear no responsibility for any changes of layout made between the moment of measurement to the moment of purchase and assembly/ installation of the furniture that may impact the results of measurements (such as brickwork, revetting, etc.) The Company shall not bear any responsibility for the impossibility to assemble/install the goods due to changes of the layout. In order to check the plan of the kitchen set-up, he is obliged to make the electricity and water supply available.
In case the Service as defined in the Order cannot be provided in whole or partially due to the circumstance on the part of the Customer, the Company shall be entitled to claim damages incurred.
The price of the Service is given in the Company’s currently valid price list, which is accessible at the department stores and at the website www.IKEA.cz. Order payment can be made at the department store in cash, with a credit/debit card, an IKEA card, or on credit. The price that is binding for both parties is given in the Order.
Any legal acts as well as any questions etc. in relation to the Service shall be raised exclusively against the Company. This applies especially to claiming the measurement work defects. Any legal acts related to the measurement work raised against the third parties (such as Contracting partners) shall not be legally binding for the Company.
If the Customer cancels the signed Order and withdraws from the Contract on Measurement Service less than 72 hours prior to its commencing, the Customer shall pay the company a cancellation fee equal to the price of the Service (see the valid price list). The Company shall offset its claim for payment of the cancellation fee against the Customer’s claim for Service price refund.

The personal data will be processed for the purposes of the order execution for the period needed to its fulfilment, the resolution of possible claims of the Customer regarding the faulty fulfilment and further if it is required by the special regulations (especially by the tax law). The personal data will be processed on the basis of the contract between the Customer and the Company. The Data receivers will be the contractual partners of the Company providing the services needed for the order fulfilment and handling of complaints.
The provision of the personal data is required for the conclusion of agreement, but in the case the Customer won’t provide them, then the order cannot be executed. The Customer has the right to access its personal data, the right to their rectification or erasure, possibly the right to restriction of their processing and the right to their portability and have the right to object to the processing. The Customer can apply the rights on the contacts below. The Customer has the right to lodge the complaint at local supervisory authority, Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, the seat and the contacts are available on the website www.uoou.cz
The Company will use contact personal data of the Customer for the purpose of the satisfaction survey and to offer its goods and services on the legal basis of legitimate interest. The Customer has the right to opt out from such communication in the time of the contract conclusion or later on the contacts below. Personal data will be stored for 1 year for the purpose of evaluating customer satisfaction.

The Czech Trade Inspection Authority is the authority responsible for supervision. Possible disputes between the Company and the Customer regarding obligations arising from concluded Orders may be resolved out of court. The Czech Trade Inspection Authority is the subject for out-of-court dispute solution (www.coi.cz).
