Return Policy

Returning unopened IKEA products

You can return any unopened IKEA product to us. You have a full 365 days to think about it. You get the full value of the products back. No hurry, no complicated conditions. Don't forget to bring your proof of purchase. Can't find it? No problem. If you used your IKEA Family card to make your purchase, we'll help you find your digital receipt.

Returning opened IKEA products

Everyone should be able to try the product at home and decide if it suits them. Therefore, you can return unused products within 365 days of purchase, even assembled ones. When returning, it is sufficient to present proof of payment.

IKEA products that can’t be returned​

According to our IKEA return policy, dirty, used, damaged or modified products cannot be returned. However, if they are still in good condition, you can always offer them to us for sale. Read more about how it works.

90 days love it or exchange it

If you have already slept on a mattress several times and it seems too hard or soft, you can return or replace it within 90 days of purchase. Bring a mattress with a receipt to any IKEA store and we will help you find another one. 

What is good to remember?

  • You can replace the mattress once every 90 days after purchase.
  • The condition is that it is not dirty and damaged, and that it is free of signs of contamination.
  • The service does not apply to IKEA bed bases and mattresses.
  • New mattresses are often too hard. Therefore, allow a month to try it out so that you can get used to it.It’s also important to choose the right pillow.
  • Once you've found and purchased a mattress that's perfect for you, it'll be covered by our 10-year mattress warranty.

How to return products

We believe that returning a product should be as easy as buying it. That's why we've made the Returns Terms as simple as possible. Just remember this basic information:

  1. You have 365 days to think about it. Regardless of whether your product is new and packaged or unpacked and assembled.
  2. Bring your receipt with you. Everything will be much easier.
  3. You can return all products purchased in the Czech Republic at any domestic IKEA store, regardless of where you bought them.
  4. The Returns service does not apply to all food purchased from an IKEA store.
  5. We will refund your money in the same way you paid. If you have used a discount coupon for your purchase and decide to return the product, we will only refund the amount you paid with your own money. In this case, unfortunately, we no longer issue a new discount coupon. However, you can use the option of a refund to the IKEA refund card, to which we will credit you with the full amount, including the value of the discount coupon used.

Where can I return the products?

Returning products in a  store

You can return undamaged and unused products to our stores within 365 days from the date of purchase. All you have to do is bring them to us together with the proof of purchase on time.

Express returns

Don't like waiting? Take advantage of our new Express Return service. Just fill in the receipt number, select what you would like to return and as soon as you come to us, we will take you with priority.Here is what you need to do:

  • Have your receipt number and your details ready.
  • Select a maximum of 10 products to return
  • Submit the form and wait for a confirmation email and SMS
  • Arrive at our department store within 14 days and don't forget to take your proof of purchase and products in their original packaging with you

Returns by delivery service

It is now possible to order returns online even for large orders. Pack the goods, fill out the online form and hand over the package to the carrier directly at your address.Here is what you need to do:

  • Have your receipt number and your details ready.
  • Fill out the form
  • Pack the goods thoroughly to prevent damage in transit
  • Hand everything over to the carrier who will arrive at your address
  • Your money will be refunded within 14 days of delivery to IKEA

The shipping fee for return by delivery service is CZK 999. This fee will be deducted from the price of the returned goods. Claims can be submitted only in one of the IKEA stores.

Returns at PPL Parcelshops

Does it take you too long to get to your local IKEA store? You can now return the goods using PPL Parcelshops. You can return undamaged and unused products within 365 days from the date of purchase. Just pack the goods, fill in the online form and bring the package to the PPL Parcelshop of your choice.Here is what you need to do:

  • Have your receipt number and your details ready.
  • Fill out the form and print the label you will receive by email.
  • Pack the goods thoroughly to prevent damage during transport and attach a label to the package.
  • Hand over the parcel at your chosen PPL Parcelshop.
  • The maximum size of the package is 100×50×50 cm. The sum total of the circumference and length shall not exceed 300 cm. Maximální hmotnost balení je 30 kg
  • Your money will be refunded within 14 days of delivery to IKEA

Notifications - unpacked mattresses cannot be returned via parcelshop, please choose the option of returning via the delivery service

The fee for returning a product via parcel service is CZK 49. This fee will be deducted from the price of the returned goods. Claims can be submitted only in one of the IKEA stores.

Spare Parts

Are you missing a screw or other parts? You do not have to return or make a complaint about the product. You can easily order spare parts at home or pick them up at an IKEA store.
