IKEA asks all customers who own an IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL Garlic press, black, to stop using it and contact IKEA. The affected product has the article numbers 201.521.58, 305.781.89, and 601.636.02.

Why is this product not safe to use?

Due to a production error, identified after an internal investigation, indicating a risk of small metal pieces detaching during use and subsequently being ingested with the food, IKEA is recalling the IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL Garlic press, black, from date stamp 2411(YYWW) until 2522 (YYWW). Affected products can be identified by a marking of the IKEA logo on the upper handle of the product that look like shown:

If customers still cannot identify it, they can return any IKEA 365+ VÄRDEFULL garlic press, black, and get a refund.

What should customers do?

Customers who own an affected garlic press should immediately stop using it and contact IKEA for a full refund. Additionally, IKEA encourages customers to spread the word about this recall, especially if they know that the recalled product was offered, lent or sold to someone else.

What remedy can customers expect?

Affected products can be returned to any IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase (i.e. a receipt) is not required.

Due to a local test in Belgium showing non-compliant migration of primary aromatic amines (PAA) above the permissible limit, IKEA is recalling IKEA 365+ HJÄLTE stirring spatulas with the relevant date stamp.   

What should customers do?

Customers who own one of the affected stirring spatulas, with identification number 20615 and date stamp 2445 (YYWW), corresponding to products purchased after November 2024, should immediately stop using it and contact IKEA for a full refund. Additionally, IKEA encourages customers to spread the word about this recall, especially if they know that the recalled product was offered, lent or sold to someone else.

Why are these products not safe to use?
Safety is a top priority for IKEA and therefore we are recalling certain outdoor LED lighting chains and lamps from the product families LEDLJUS, SOMMARLÅNKE, STRÅLA, SVARTRÅ and UTSUND as the plug of these products does not fulfill a relevant safety standard, resulting in the risk of electric shock.

During their development, IKEA products are risk assessed and thoroughly tested to make sure that our products comply with applicable requirements and regulation on all markets where IKEA operates.

Despite this it has come to our attention that a certain plug used for the above-listed products does not comply with a relevant safety standard for limiting water ingress due to a manufacturing error. Therefore, all IKEA outdoor LED lighting chains and lamps that include the affected plug are being recalled. Affected products can be identified via name of the LED-driver (ICPSH24-2-IL-1), date stamp (YYWW – see all affected date stamps in list above) of the LED-driver, and name of the plug (SYK-02F). Products with other LED-drivers, other date stamps and another plug are not in scope of this recall.

What should customers do?
Customers who own one of the affected products should immediately stop using it and contact IKEA for a replacement product or a full refund. Additionally, IKEA encourages customers to spread the word about this recall, especially if they know that the recalled product was offered, lent or sold to someone else.

IKEA urges all customers who own a VARMFRONT power bank 10 400 mAh (model number E2038) with date stamp (YYWW) 2313, 2316, 2318 or 2319, or a VARMFRONT power bank 5 200 mAh (model number E2037) with date stamp (YYWW) 2318, 2319 or 2322, to immediately stop using it and contact IKEA for a replacement product, or a full refund.

IKEA products are risk assessed and thoroughly tested to make sure that they can withstand the tough test of everyday life at home, and that they comply with applicable requirements and regulation on all markets where IKEA operates. Despite this, it has come to our attention that certain VARMFRONT power banks may pose a fire safety risk, due to a manufacturing error. This error is isolated to units with the before-mentioned date-stamps. Therefore, these VARMFRONT power banks are being recalled. Customers who own such a product should immediately stop using it and contact IKEA for a replacement product, or a full refund.

VARMFRONT power banks with other date stamps are not affected by this recall.

IKEA is recalling ÅSKSTORM 40W USB charger due to thermal burn and electric shock hazard 

KEA urges all customers who owns ÅSKSTORM 40W USB charger dark grey, article number 50461193, to stop using it and to contact IKEA for a full refund.

Safety is a top priority for IKEA and therefore ÅSKSTORM 40W USB charger dark grey is recalled. The power cable may get damaged or broken, after being wrapped around a charger or bent back and forth after a longer period of use.  The damaged cable may lead to thermal burns and electric shock. Therefore, ÅSKSTORM 40W USB charger dark grey is being recalled.

KEA announces recall for repair action of certain LETTAN mirrors, due to breaking wall fittings

IKEA urges all customers who own an affected LETTAN mirror to stop using it, and to order replacement wall fittings free of charge.

Customer safety is always the starting point for IKEA. Therefore, we are announcing a recall for repair action on LETTAN mirrors with a date stamp below 2105 (year-week), due to risk of breaking wall fittings.

IKEA develops its products using a rigorous risk assessment and testing program, to make sure that the products live up to all applicable laws and standards on the markets where they are sold.

Despite this it has come to our attention that some of the fittings that attach LETTAN mirrors to the wall, have been breaking. This has in turn lead to some mirrors unexpectedly falling. Therefore, we urge all customers who own an affected LETTAN mirror to stop using it, and to order replacement wall fittings free of charge.

Almondy is recalling a limited quantity of Almondy Almond cake

Almondy is recalling a limited quantity of Almondy Almond cake with Daim 400g as a metal object has been found in a cake. The products are being recalled as a precautionary measure.

The recall is isolated to Almondy Almond cake with Daim 400g, purchased at IKEA stores, with batch code L2140, Best Before Date: 18.11.2023.

Almondy urges consumers who may have purchased the product to either return the product to the store where it was purchased for a full refund, or to contact Almondy at www.almondy.com.

At Almondy the quality and safety of our products is our number one priority. We take the incident very seriously and as a precautionary measure we are therefore recalling products purchased at IKEA stores, with the batch code stated above. IKEA takes product safety very seriously. All our products are tested and comply with applicable standards and legislation. Despite of this we have received reports that the button on the MATVRÅ can come off and thus present a choking hazard.

IKEA asks all customers to return the product in an IKEA store, where they will be fully refunded. No purchase receipt required.

This preventive recall applies only to these two colors, as MATVRÅ bibs with fruit, vegetable, in green and yellow colors have a different design and material.

A nonconformity was identified in the mention in foreign languages, of the allergenic ingredient, powdered milk, on the labelling of marshmallow with chocolate topping SÖTSAK SKUMTOPP, 180g. There are no implications on the Portuguese label.

Therefore, costumers who bought the SÖTSAK SKUMTOPP, soft marshmallow pastry, 180g with best before dates between 2019-03-12 and 2019-04-18 can return it in an IKEA store. No receipt is required.
