Yes, you can buy the gift card in person at tills at IKEA stores, where we can load it with any amount you want.

The gift card works on the principle of a payment card. You can use the amount bit by bit or all at once.

If you use a gift card to make an online purchase and the purchase price is higher than the balance on the card, the full amount on the card will be deducted. You can pay the balance using the same or a different payment method.

Cards are transferable and there's no time limit connected to them.

Use of gift cards in other countries

In general, gift cards bought in one country can be used to pay in another. The same applies to refund cards.

The system automatically converts the exchange value according to valid exchange rates, with a 3% fee applicable when paying with the card in another country.

Gift cards are accepted for payment in all stores in the following countries

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Spain*, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom

* Apart from stores on Lanzarote, Tenerife, Mallorca and Gran Canaria.

These stores or countries do not accept gift cards issued in another country

China, Cyprus, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Iceland, Israel, Kuwait, Lithuania, Malaysia, Morocco, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, South Korea, Spanish islands, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates
