Gift, refund and discount cards

You can buy a gift card at the till in any store or online. You can load any amount onto a card.

Gift cards work on the same principle as a credit card. You use credit gradually and you don't have to use the entire amount in one go. Cards are transferable and have unlimited validity.

Gift cards, digital refund and refund cards can be used online. On your gift or refund card you will see a long identification number and a four-digit PIN code. You will need both of these numbers when paying. If you receive a digital refund card with an activation code, the card can also be used for online payments on the website. There is no limit on the number of cards you can use online.

If the card is inserted into the payment gateway and the transaction is not completed, the card will be blocked for 4 hours. For this reason, we recommend that you do not use the payment gateway to check your card balance. If you need to find out the balance on your card, click here.

The validity period of gift cards is unlimited.

Using a gift card abroad

We accept gift cards from other countries if the issuing country permits their use. To verify, we recommend visiting the website of the issuing country or contacting their customer service center.

Gift cards issued in our country may be accepted in other countries if local IKEA stores allow it. To confirm, we suggest visiting the website of the country where you wish to use the card or contacting their customer service center.

The discount card can be used at all checkouts in the IKEA store in the country in which the card was issued, the card cannot be used abroad. The card can only be used to pay for goods, not services. If you wish to apply a card to an order, please let us know in advance when creating the order. The value on the card cannot be exchanged for cash or any cash equivalent.
