A car-free IKEA - how is that supposed to work? Why are there no parking spaces?

IKEA Wien Westbahnhof is the first car-free furniture store in Austria. We have thought carefully about how this can work and are convinced of the new concept.

Together with the City of Vienna, it was important to us from the very beginning to make a positive difference for the many people. Roof terrace and park for everyone, instead of parking - that's what the residents wanted. Likewise, more and more Viennese do not have a car. So the concept quickly became clear: portable items to take away and no furniture storage for which you would need a car.

Parking is only available for bicycles. You are welcome to come to us by public transport, bike or on foot.

At the same time, we have set up a sustainable and flexible logistics system for Vienna. This means that we can deliver quickly and flexibly, according to customer requirements, or offer pick-up in Vösendorf, Wien Nord and Strebersdorf.
