What is IKEA doing to ensure that the opening of the IKEA Wien Westbahnhof does not lead to much more traffic in the neighborhood?

IKEA Wien Westbahnhof is car-free, which means there are no parking spaces. Smaller items can be taken along, for larger purchases we offer various delivery and pick-up options.

 

The new IKEA Wien Westbahnhof was planned as a car-free furniture store. That means there are no parking spaces - it is designed to come on foot, by public transport or by bicycle. Through our shopping concept, we also want to keep truck traffic to the center of the city as low as possible: Smaller items are available to take away, larger furniture can be ordered, they are either delivered from one of our logistics locations or can be picked up via Click & Collect from another IKEA location or one of our other pick-up options near you in cooperation with Storebox, Billa and other service partners.
