Complimentary Interior design

These terms and conditions apply to the interior design for your home advice/service by IKEA as available on the website.

1. The interior design for your home advice/service is tailored for private customers only. For further reference, both private and business customers will be referred to as the “Customer”.
2. 3. Services are limited in time, as detailed below, and happen in-store with an Interior Designer (the “Designer”):
   1.  Home Furnishing Consultant: one appointment comprising of up to 60-minute consultation appointment and sharing a link to pay for your order if applicable.
   2. IKEA Interior Design: two appointments comprising of 1) up to 60-minute consultation appointment; 2) up to 60-minute presentation of plans and sharing a link to pay for your order if applicable.
   3.  IKEA Complete Interior Design Solution: up to three appointments comprising of 1) up to 60-minute consultation appointment: 2) up to 60-minute presentation of plans and feedback and 3) a final up to 60-minute appointment with updated plans and sharing a payment link for your order if applicable.
3. During the appointments, the Designer will assist the Customer in discussing solutions within the IKEA range based on the measurements provided (excluding interior design services) and the budget from the Customer.
   1.  IKEA Interior Design: The designer will give interior design advice, and present a product collage and/or shopping list.
   2.  IKEA Complete Interior Design Solution: The design will be presented as a floor plan with suggested furniture, products, and accessories where functionally relevant, and a shopping list (the “Proposal”). The design will consist of recommended products intended for the specific use of the product. The design will also include elevations or 3D views.
      1. 1. IKEA Interior Design: The Customer will receive one design option only. Any additional options or revisions due to a suitability or product availability will need to be arranged directly with the designer at their next available opportunity. The Customer will incur the following gift card purchase package that the customer selects and need to book a new appointment using the booking system.
         2.  IKEA Complete Interior Design Solution: The Customer will receive one design option only. Any additional options or revisions required will need to be arranged directly with the designer at their next available opportunity. The Customer will incur the following gift card purchase package that the customer selects and need to book a new appointment using the booking system.
4. The customer should review the product specifications on the IKEA website and product instructions in order to decide on the suitability of the products for the customer’s intended use. The customer accepts that no additional warranties or consumer rights relating to the product beyond those given in the IKEA terms and conditions of sale shall apply. Any such warranties, express or implied, are hereby fully excluded.
5.  The Service can be booked on the website. Customers need to complete the online survey before booking prior to the first appointment in order to help the Designer with regards to what room(s) the services are required for, what the needs of the room(s) are, and the design styles preferred.
6. The customer must provide the Designer with the measurements for the room(s) along with images of the room(s) 48 hours prior to the first appointment. IKEA accepts no liability for room dimension accuracy provided by the customer, unless the customer has used the IKEA Kitchen measuring service.
7. The services are subject to a fee:
   1. Home Furnishing Consultant: Free for one 45 – 60 minute appointmentม for a room or up to 30 sqm.
   2. IKEA Interior Design: A gift card purchase of 5,000 THB for two appointments, for a room or up to 40 sqm.
   3. IKEA Complete Interior Design Solution: A gift card purchase of 10,000 THB for three appointments, up to 40 sqm, Any subsequent meetings for multiple options or revisions after the third appointment shall have an additional gift card purchase package that the customer selects. Option/revision will be arranged at the designer’s next available opportunity. Customers need to purchase a gift card after enquiring and providing details of the space through the interior design. Customers can use a gift card for purchasing furniture and food in IKEA Thailand. The gift card shall not be refundable under any circumstances.
8.  IKEA reserves the right to cancel the booking at any time before the appointment. IKEA shall use reasonable endeavors to provide the customer with advance notice of any cancellation. However, in any circumstances where an appointment is cancelled, the customer will be offered a new appointment.
9.  The customer may cancel the appointment at any time before the appointment is scheduled by emailing, [email protected] (Bangna store) , [email protected] (Bang Yai store), [email protected] (Phuket store) and [email protected] (Sukhumvit Store) . Attempts will be made to reschedule the appointment within a four-week period pending availability.
10. We recommend purchasing the products after confirming at the time of designing or while stock lasts. For any amendments due to availability or suitability in which a redesign is required, IKEA shall not be liable/hold responsibility for product unavailability. Customers are requested to purchase the additional gift card package and have the re-design appointment arranged at the next availability.
11. Any products mentioned from external suppliers or sole traders suggested by the Designer to implement the Service are utilised at the customer’s own discretion and risk and are therefore excluded from the scope of these Terms and Conditions. Any products from external suppliers or sole traders are recommended for the customer’s own convenience only. IKEA has no control over external suppliers or sole traders and accepts no legal responsibility for any products purchased from external suppliers or sole traders. Any reference to any external supplier or sole trader does not mean that IKEA endorses that third party’s website, products, or services. The customer’s use of that external suppliers or sole traders’ website, product, or service shall be governed by the terms and conditions of that external supplier or sole trader and is at the customer’s own risk.
12.  Designers cannot create custom or modified solutions for Customers and are limited to suggesting IKEA furniture and products designed for their intended use only.
13.  Designers creating children’s rooms are required to use only recommended furniture approved for children, and suitable for the age of the child.
14.  IKEA reserves the right to withdraw the Service or amend these conditions at any time without notice.
15. Customer data will be processed in accordance with IKEA’s privacy policy, details of which are available on the following website IKEA.co.th/services.
16. This service is applicable for IKEA customers for household use only and is not eligible for IKEA for Business customers.

Your design may take up to 4 weeks to complete; please note that timings may vary depending on the size of the project and designer availability. Your designer will give you an estimated completion date after assessing the needs of your space and discussing your project in detail after your first consultation. Please note that times for larger projects will vary depending on the size of the project. Please share if you have a completion date in mind, and we will do our best to accommodate.

Yes, absolutely. The interior designer can make big changes to what you already have in your home. You can get suggestions for new furniture or tips on accessories to add to what you already have.

We are unable to do home/site visits as all our interior design services are accessible only in store.

Please give us as much notice as possible if you wish to cancel or rearrange your appointment.
