1. How do I go about making a booking to meet a kitchen planner?
You can make a reservation online for a free of charge kitchen planning service to meet our kitchen specialist in the store via our website. Click here to make an appointment.
2. Will I get a confirmation for the appointment booking?
Yes, an auto-reply will be triggered to your email upon your appointment booking. Do also check your spam box if you do not receive in it your mail inbox.
3. Anything else I need to bring during appointment day?
Yes, if you already have measurements or pamphlets of desired appliances, you can bring them down for the kitchen planner to input into the planning. If you do not have any appliances in mind, do not worry, as we also carry a range of appliances to complete the entire kitchen.
4. Where do I go during the appointment date & time?
Proceed to your selected store's kitchen department on the date and time of the appointment that you have booked, approach any kitchen department staff on duty and inform them that you have an appointment booked and our kitchen planner assigned to meet you will be around to kick start the planning discussion. Kindly be on time as your assigned kitchen planner might not be able to accommodate beyond 2 hours of planning time due to subsequent scheduled appointments.
5. What if I cannot make it for the appointment, can I reschedule or decide to cancel an appointment if I'm no longer keen to proceed?
Yes, you can. For rescheduling and cancellations, we strongly recommend that you email in to inform us at least 2 days in advance so that we can reschedule the next earliest availability to you.
6. Can I only bring my house blueprint for kitchen planning?
Unfortunately, kitchen planning from house blueprints and concrete kitchen planning is not available.
7. Will I be able to just go for planning but engage my own installers for the installation?
Yes, you may, however, we will strongly recommend at least engaging our site measurement service, so that our kitchen specialist can provide better recommendations and planning of higher accuracy to avoid situations whereby cabinets are unable to fit in due to unknown onsite conditions.

2. What are the steps to buying an IKEA kitchen?
- Step 1: Site measurement before the real planning begins, it is important for us to have the exact measurements of your kitchen. Engage our kitchen planner to find out more.
- Step 2: Planning and consultation make an appointment with our kitchen specialist, here. If you have engaged us for the site measurement, our kitchen planner will have the drawings and measurements ready during your visit. If you did your measurement, please bring along the measurements, drawing, and a picture of the area for us to provide you with a detailed plan to help turn your dream kitchen into reality.
- Step 3: Make your purchase when you are satisfied with your planning, drop by your nearest IKEA store to visit our kitchen planners. They will go over your kitchen plan with you and help you with anything you are not sure about. When you are ready you can order, and we can help with delivery and other services too.
- Step 4: Installation: you choose what you want help with. Rest assured that the installation is done properly as we provide a 1-year warranty on the workmanship. You can find more information here.
3. What kind of kitchen services does IKEA offer?
- In-store planning (Appointment basis only) – Arrive at the IKEA store where you made a booking for a 2-hour appointment with an IKEA kitchen planner and work together to create your dream kitchen. It is important that we have the exact measurements of your kitchen so that our planning team can provide an expert level of service. If you have used our measurement service, these measurements will be made available to our planning team prior to your appointment.
- Measuring Service – Precise measurements and an accurate survey of the conditions of your existing kitchen lead to an accurate kitchen plan and ease of installation. We will send an experienced professional to your home to assess the conditions and provide accurate measurements.
- Installation Service – Our professional installers will handle all those time-consuming jobs like fitting sinks, taps, worktops, and appliances. Your kitchen will be installed to the highest industry standards.
Become your own designer with our planning tools:
- IKEA kitchen quick quoter – Our kitchen quick quoter makes it easier for you to decide when designing your kitchen. Simply choose and combine different kitchen fronts, countertops, or handles to visualize your dream kitchen.
- IKEA kitchen planner – Our online kitchen planning tool allows you to easily try out your ideas and implement your vision. Get started right away by accessing it by self-planning from home or in the store with the assistance of our kitchen them. You do not need to download any programs.
*Smartphones are not supported at this time. If you are providing your own site measurements, please be sure to have them ready to share with your IKEA kitchen planner during your planning session.
4. Can I install the kitchen by myself?
Yes, you can do it but need to follow this installation guide here.
5. Can I design by myself at home?
Yes, we have online kitchen planning that you can design your dream kitchen with IKEA products here.
6. Can I choose to source for my own worktop instead but just buy the entire kitchen without the worktop?
Yes, you may, as we sell our kitchen cabinetry, interior fitting, door, drawer fronts, and worktop separately so that anytime you can refresh the look of your kitchen by refitting it with new drawer & door fronts and yes, you can choose to just purchase the rest of the kitchen with us.
7. What are the kitchen cabinet frames made of and are they water-resistant & termite free?
Our cabinet frames are mostly made from Particleboard, Melamine foil, Polypropylene Plastic, and ABS Plastic which is water-resistant (not waterproof) thus it's really easy for regular maintenance of cleaning and wiping. We still recommend not to expose the interior of the frames to water.
Measuring:
Measurement service costs 1,000 THB per visit, waivable with a minimum spend of 5,000 THB on installation service.
Installation:
- The kitchen installation service costs 10% of the price of products to be installed, with a minimum charge of 2,500 THB.
- Get your kitchen delivered and installed with no additional charge when purchasing an IKEA kitchen of 70,000 THB or more.Terms and Conditions apply.
- For other provinces outside Bangkok, Samutprakarn, Phuket and Pangnga area, additional transportation fee will apply.
Delivery:
It depends on the postcode area and the cost starts at 290 THB. You can check the cost here.
Payment method:
You can pay with cash, Visa and Mastercard credit, debit cards, Promptpay, and e-wallet via QR Codes. For the installment plan, we currently offer a 0% installment plan for 6 months for a minimum purchase of 5,000 THB. Click here to see more details about IPP.
1. What is covered under the product guarantee?
- The METOD kitchen system: 25-year guarantee.
- The kitchen mixer taps: 10-year guarantee.
- IKEA appliances: 5-year guarantee.
- The workmanship is guaranteed for 1 year.
2. For each product, how long is the guarantee coverage?
This guarantee applies to domestic use only and covers defects in materials and workmanship.
25-year guarantee
This guarantee covers all the following parts of the METOD kitchen system:
- Cabinet frames (except for VADHOLMA and TORNVIKEN)
- Fronts
- UTRUSTA hinges
- MAXIMERA fully-extending drawers
- UTRUSTA shelves of tempered glass and melamine
- Legs and plinths
- Cover panels
- Deco strips/moldings
- Pre-cut wood worktops
- Sinks (except FYNDIG sinks)
10-year guarantee
This guarantee covers all the following parts of the ENHET kitchen system:
- Cabinet frames
- Fronts
- Cover panels
- Hinges
- Drawers
- Shelves
- Legs
- UTRUSTA wire basket
- TORNVIKEN
- VADHOLMA kitchen cabinet and furniture
Products not covered under 25, 10, or 5 years guarantee:
Knobs, and handles, KNOXHULT kitchen, SUNNERSTA kitchen, and FYNDIG sink.
3. How to be qualified for the guarantee claim?
Our IKEA sales order is also a proof of purchase that qualifies you for the guarantee.
4. How long is the guarantee valid?
The guarantee remains in force for the number of years stated and is valid from the date of purchase. The original purchase receipt is required as proof of purchase for the guarantee to apply.
5. What is not covered under the guarantee?
This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents. Follow our assembly instructions, installation instructions, and care instructions carefully. This guarantee does not apply to products that have been stored, assembled, or installed incorrectly, used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered, or cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or wrong cleaning products. This guarantee does not cover incidental or consequential damage.
