How do I clean my IKEA kitchen cabinets?
To keep your kitchen cabinets looking good for as long as possible, we recommend cleaning them with a slightly damp cloth along with a mild detergent to remove dirt and fingerprints. After cleaning, it is a good idea to wipe the doors with a dry microfiber cloth, this helps to avoid stains and protects the material by preventing moisture from penetrating the surface.
- Use mild products: Avoid harsh chemicals and cleaners with ammonia or abrasives, as they can damage the surface or leave marks.
- Soft cloths: Microfiber is best – it cleans effectively without scratching.
- Wipe away moisture immediately: Water that remains in place, especially along edges and joints, can affect the material over time.
- Clean stains gently: Leave the mild detergent on for a short time and then wipe off slowly – don't rub too hard.
- Clean regularly: It's more effective to do small, quick cleans regularly than to have to scrub at longer intervals.
