Can I have an spring base in a bed frame?

The spring base purchased later than January 2026 cannot be placed in a bed frame. The reason for this is that you have to have legs on your elastic bottom for the sake of stability.

Newer pocket spring mattress bases purchased in January 2026 or later are not intended to be placed directly in a bed frame. The construction has been developed to provide stability through the legs. For this reason, it is not possible to place them in a bed frame. The LEJDEBERGEN wooden frame included in the box spring base is assembled together with the legs.
However, pocket spring mattress bases purchased in 2025 or earlier can be placed in a bed frame. The most recent models we sold that were suitable for this include STAVANGER, SKOTTERUD, SNARUM, SKÅRER, STUVLAND and JÄRNUDDA, as well as older SULTAN models.
