How does the guarantee work for my IKEA product?
We offer guarantees on many of our products. The products that have a guarantee have a fixed warranty commitment of, for example, 5, 10 or 25 years. The warranty applies from the time you buy the product or have it delivered. To use any guarantee on your IKEA product, you need to keep the original receipt or consignment note.
Keep in mind that you as a customer need to demonstrate the product defect with the help of some kind of documentation. Either by bringing and displaying the product at one of our stores or by photographing the product where the defect is clearly visible.
You must have followed the product's care instructions in order to use the guarantee. You can find all care instructions and instructions at IKEA stores and here on IKEA.se under each product. The guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, scratches, marks or damage caused by impact or accident. The guarantee also does not apply if the product has been placed outdoors or in a humid environment, or if the product has been used in a context other than for home use, unless otherwise stated.
