Can I use Trueplay tuning with SYMFONISK speaker?
Trueplay is a feature from Sonos that measures how sound reflects in the room and then adjusts how the speaker plays so you can place it anywhere without affecting the sound. With the Sonos app for iOS, you can activate Trueplay with SYMFONISK speakers creating the soundscape that fits your home.
Between 2018-2025, IKEA has had a collaboration with Sonos and together created the SYMFONISK series. All of our SYMFONISK products are compatible with the Sonos app for iOS, and have access to the range of features that partnering with Sonos offers.
Trueplay uses your phone's microphone to read how sound is moving in the room to optimise audio settings. It takes about three minutes and you'll get instructions from the app and speaker on how to do it.

The speakers in the SYMFONISK series do not have integrated microphones and therefore cannot be voice-activated directly. Because SYMFONISK is part of the Sonos system, you can pair and control your SYMFONISK speaker with other voice-activated products such as Sonos One, Sonos Beam, Alexa, or Google Assistant.
