How do I get started with the kitchen planner for METOD?
In the kitchen planning tool for METOD, you can either start designing from scratch or choose existing design proposals to help you get started. Choose a design that resembles your kitchen space, then add dimensions, placement of appliances and IKEA products. If you have problems with the kitchen tool, try a different browser or clearing cookies and cache.
- Before you start designing your dream kitchen, we recommend signing in to your IKEA Family profile. This allows you to save your design and easily find it later if you need to take a break.
- Also make sure you have your kitchen’s dimensions prepared before you start planning, so you can be confident that your design will fit the space.
- First, navigate to the planning tool, and then tap 'Start designing'. The first time you will be asked to define oven location, extractor hood type, fridge/freezer preference and layout type. You can of course modify these options later if needed or choose the option 'Design from scratch'.
- Next, choose the room shape that most closely matches your kitchen. Once you’ve done that, you can enter your room measurements and begin adding the first set of products to your design.
- If you need some extra inspiration, you can choose existing design suggestions to help you get started by navigating to ‘Choose a favourite.
- If you can't access the planner, try launching the tool in a different browser or in a private (incognito) window. You can also try disabling or clearing the cache and cookies in your browser before reloading the page. If you're unsure how to do this for your particular browser, use a search engine like Google to find instructions.
- Our planner is designed to work well on most computers and laptops. On smartphones or other mobile devices, you may receive a notification that the planner can only be used on larger screens. If you receive this notification on a large-screen device, try adjusting the screen resolution via the operating system's settings. Choose the highest available resolution. We also suggest trying to zoom out the tab in your browser (e.g. setting it to 90%).
- If you’re still unable to access the tool, it may be experiencing a temporary issue, and we recommend trying again later.
