Which countertop can I use in my laundry room?
At IKEA we offers several options of countertops that work well in laundry rooms, however not all of our countertops are suitable for wet areas such as bathrooms. For laundry rooms that are not in wet areas, you can use laminate countertops such as EKBACKEN and SÄLJAN or our more exclusive countertops in quartz composite, high-pressure porcelain, and glass composite - KASKER, MÖCKLARP and LOCKEBO. If you plan to have a countertop in a wet area, we recommend TOLKEN, ÅLSKEN, or HEMTRÄSK.
In a laundry room, it’s important to choose a countertop that is moisture-resistant and easy to clean. You can also opt for a made-to-measure countertop in laminate or stone material, if the countertop is not part of the bathroom range.
IKEA’s laminate countertops such as EKBACKEN and SÄLJAN are suitable for laundry rooms.
For more premium options, there’s KASKER, made of quartz composite, MÖCKLARP, made of high-pressure ceramic, and LOCKEBO, made of glass composite with at least 80% recycled glass.
Regardless of which countertop you choose, all of these materials are durable, moisture-resistant, and easy to maintain.
However, please note that the above countertops are not suitable for wet rooms. If you are planning a countertop for your bathroom or wet room, we recommend checking out TOLKEN, ÅLSKEN, or HEMTRÄSK, our countertops designed for bathrooms and wet rooms.
