TARVA
The TARVA bed frame is a modern example of traditional Scandinavian furniture: simple design and raw wood. Its timeless style combines perfectly with furniture from other series. In addition, the 16 glued slats adapt to the body weight and increase the elasticity of the mattress.
When creating TARVA, designers Knut and Marianne Hagberg wanted to show their Scandinavian roots: “We think it's good to be able to feel the natural material. In addition, you can paint the structure without requiring much treatment, so everyone can create their own TARVA. In this way, the design becomes a collaboration between us and the person who takes it home."
Wood, in addition to being beautiful in its own right, is a renewable material. At IKEA, the requirements for the wood used in our products are clear: it is fobidden to come from illegal logging and we work so that all the wood we use comes from more sustainable certified or recycled sources.
JÄTTELILJA
Made with lyocell, a cellulose fiber obtained from wood, the JÄTTELILJA duvet cover has a decorative embroidery that brings life and texture to your bedroom.
Lyocell is a renewable material that needs less water, pesticide and artificial fertilizers than cotton, this helps us reduce the environmental impact of our production.
Designer Malin Gyllensvaan found inspiration ina botanical garden in Stockholm to create the JÄTTELILJA pattern: "I wanted to create joy: a flower here and a butterfly there, so there is always something new to discover."
KYRRE
KYRRE stool is made of birch which gives it a genuine feel and a hardwearing surface that will last for years and grow more graceful with age.
