Rest and sleep

How do you relax at home? Being able to find everything you need to get comfortable is a good start. As is a calm surrounding where everything is in its place.

A footstool by the end of the bed can double as extra storage for pillows, blankets or a bedspread when not in use.

Use closed storage with solid or glass doors in the bedroom to protect clothes, bed linen, TV, videos, books and so on against dust.

Storage boxes under the bed provide extra storage space with easy access. Lids protect against dust. Boxes on wheels protect the floor and are easier to pull out.

Think about

  • One or several hooks are convenient for hanging clothes, belts, hats, etc.
  • A bedside table with a drawer and/or cabinet keeps things hidden but at the same time within convenient reach.
  • Make use of extra storage space under a loft bed.
  • Adjustable shelves can be adapted to size of the books. Keep books in place with bookends.
  • Protect books or albums from dust by storing them in a glass-door cabinet. Keep children’s books at child height.
