Personal care

Smart storage solutions are especially important in bathrooms where space is often limited. When planning storage it is important consider the placement in relation to where things are used. Keeping things organized and within reach helps to keep the bathroom neat and tidy. Remember to choose materials that can endure water and moisture.

Drawers under the wash-basin make efficient use of space and keeps often-used items within reach. Interior organisers help keep accessories, hair care and beauty products organised.

Free-stranding pieces can be combined with storage systems for additional storage. They do not damage walls with screws and are easy to bring along if moving.

Shallow cabinets are convenient for creating storage space over the toilet.

Think about

  • Hooks, shelves and holders mounted with suction cups provide extra storage without damaging tiled walls or other glossy surfaces such as mirrors.
  • Use a lockable cabinet to keep medicines and chemicals away from children.
  • Having a cabinet, shelf and/or drawer for each family member makes it easier to find things.
  • Plan the storage for children’s toys at a convenient height so that they take them out and put them back on their own.
  • Make the most of wall space and keep a step stool or ladder nearby for items that are stored up high.
  • A wall-mounted nursing table with storage saves space. Keep baby care items near the nursing table, bathtub or wherever they are used.
