Dress

Some people find it difficult to decide what to wear in themorning, and messy storage of clothes does not help. Clothes that are stored well require less care and are easier to find, which saves valuable time. Baskets, drawers, hooks, rails, hangers and fittings can be used to customise the interior of both open and closed storage.

Hanging space can be used more efficiently by sorting clothes according to length. Dresses and coats require full-length space. Shorter clothes like shirts, skirts and trousers can be hung on two levels.

Keeping dress shoes in boxes protects them from dust. A picture or a window on the box shows what is inside.

If short of deep space, interior fittings can enable hanging clothes and storing shoes in a 35 cm deep wardrobe.

Think about

  • Have drawer dividers or small compartments indrawers to organise socks and underwear. Keep trackof jewellery, belts and other accessories with hooks, textile pockets, interior fittings or a miniature chestof drawers.
  • Protect formal wear and/or seasonal clothes from dust with clothes covers.
  • Keep sweaters and t-shirts folded on shelves or in drawers.
  • Trousers can be hung straight or folded. Jeans can be placed folded on shelves.
  • Shoes can be stored in shoe cabinets, in pockets hanging on the wall, on shelves or on racks.
  • Hooks for belts or bags, can be mounted on the inside and outside of the wardrobe or on the back of a door.
  • Children can get dressed on their own when their clothes are stored at their own height.
  • Clothes to be worn again, can be hung to air in an open storage solution or on hooks.
  • An integrated light with a sensor in drawers, cabinets and wardrobes, turn on when cabinets are open and turn off when closed, helping to reduce energy.
