Small steps to give your furniture a longer life

Our products are designed from the very beginning to be reused, repaired, refurbished and recycled. Across the entire product range, we aim to achieve an average circular fulfilment score of 90%, with at least half of our products reaching a full 100%. This approach already makes it easier to extend the life and value of furniture – helping to refresh or refurbish your home with minimal effort.

Keep good things going

We believe it’s better to fix things, not ditch them. Repairing what you already own helps you spend less and get more from the products you love. And when your pre-loved items need a new life, we’re here to help. Whether you’re missing a leg for your sofa or need an extra hinge, we’ve got spare parts big and small—so you can repair rather than replace. It’s great for the environment and great for your wallet.

Useful tips

Refresh your furniture

Often, you can refresh well-used furniture for little cost or effort. Perhaps your sofa has washable and replaceable covers, or your wood furniture needs only a lick of paint or wood stain for years of extra use.

Oil the wood you have

A well-maintained wooden chopping board can last for years. Regular oiling can prevent warps and cracks, and save you having to buy a new one. A long-term friend for you and your wallet.

Fix it if you can

A minor repair or adjustment may be all you need to get a wobbly chair, table or sofa back into action. For smaller spare parts for IKEA products, you can order online. Saving you the cost and effort of replacing the furniture.

Put feet on

Stick-on floor protectors can keep your floors beautiful for longer, by helping to prevent scratch marks and scrapes from furniture. They fit firmly and easily on the bottom of chair and table legs, and are kind to your floor.
