Creating a Dream Bedroom with IKEA for Business

When it came time to design his bedroom, the customer turned to IKEA for Business after hearing about the service from a friend. A visit to the IKEA for Business showroom led to an inspiring collaboration with our Key Account Manager and interior designer.

Together, they explored his needs and vision—and the final design exceeded his expectations.

Theme: A Scandinavian Retreat

The mood board was based on a Scandinavian Modern style, with a palette of soft natural colors like beige, white wood, and bold black accents.

The space was divided into three purposeful zones: a sleeping area, a workspace, and a relaxing zone with seating and a TV.

Design Tips & Ideas:

To create a sense of structure while keeping the open feel, wooden columns were used to subtly separate the sleeping area from the rest.

A custom BESTÅ unit added both smart storage and a stylish coffee corner—perfect for his rituals and souvenirs.

Challenges:

No matter the challenge, IKEA for Business is here to help turn your vision into a reality.

With thoughtful design, practical ideas, and a collaborative approach, we create spaces that work beautifully for your lifestyle.

Creating a Dream Salon with IKEA for Business

This story began when the customer visited the IKEA for Business Customer Meeting Point. She was looking for smart, beautiful, and functional solutions for her upcoming beauty salon—and she found exactly what she needed with our Key Account Manager.

Together, we created a design that reflected her dream: a warm, welcoming salon that feels as good as it functions. At just 42 square meters every corner is planned with purpose. Every detail supports both business flow and customer experience.

Theme:

We started with a soft base of beige, layered with the natural warmth of birch wood.

Then, small but impactful touches of olive green were added, bringing a feeling of freshness and calm.

Design Tips & Ideas:

Mood lighting creates a soft, inviting atmosphere that encourages clients to stay longer.

The large mirror with side lighting adds depth to the room, brightens the space, and makes every client feel seen and celebrated.

Open shelving behind the workstations keeps essentials visible and within reach — no clutter, no chaos.

Challenges:

With just 42 square meters to work with, every detail was thoughtfully designed—because with the right solutions, even the smallest spaces can become beautifully functional.

In the end, it’s more than a salon. It’s a space where function meets feeling—and clients feel right at home.

Theme:

A Modern Scandinavian aesthetic, blending simplicity with biophilic touches to elevate the space.

The main color palette revolves around soft neutrals (off-whites, light beige, and greys) accented by natural greens and organic textures that help bring a sense of freshness and balance.

Design Tips & Ideas:

Use clean-lined furniture in neutral tones, softened with textured throws, rugs, and cushions. Add natural wood for warmth, and use light curtains and mirrors to enhance brightness and space.

Opt for bar tables in small areas to maintain dining and social zones without crowding.

Decorate with nature-inspired art, plants, and organic vases to reinforce a natural, minimal design.

Challenges:

In this 100 sqm apartment, space-saving was key, so smart storage—especially wall-mounted units—was prioritized.

A mix of open and closed options allows for both display and discreet storage.

Single Bedroom Apartment 62 Towers

A calm, modern home made for everyday livingThis 62 m² one-bedroom apartment was designed to be a peaceful retreat—perfect for newlyweds or individuals looking for a space that truly feels like home.

Theme:

The theme is modern Scandinavian minimalism. It is designed for a harmonious balance between modern simplicity and livable comfort.

By pairing monochrome foundations with natural materials and carefully selected accent colors, the apartment offers a timeless aesthetic that feels both contemporary and welcoming.

Design Tips & Ideas:

By using neutral tones for your main furniture, it can give you endless possibilities to play around with accent colors for your accessories.

When experiencing a small space, you can sub-divide it by using furniture to separate the different functions of everyday life and highlighting those spaces with rugs to avoid creating a confined look and feel to the existing space, allowing it to look more open and spacious.

Challenges:

With a 62 square meter apartment, space was of the essence so it was very important to utilize as much storage as possible. We have tried to combat that by using various kinds of storage solutions especially on walls as they take up the least space.

By creating a mix of both open and closed storages, you have provided a solution to either hide or display your items as the heart desires.
