What should I do next after completing a kitchen planning appointment?

You are one step closer to your dream kitchen, and your next steps depend on the current status of your kitchen plan. If you have not yet placed the order, there are a number of steps that we recommend you to take.

  1. Review your plan at home
First, take your time to review your 3D plan and product list at home. At the same time, double-check that the measurement results that the plan is based on are still correct, and make sure the kitchen you designed will fit neatly in the space. This is a good opportunity to make sure you are happy with all the details.
  2. Make final adjustments (optional)
If you'd like to try other options, you can open your saved plan in the kitchen planner and change doors, handles, appliances, worktops, etc., to see how they affect the finish and the total price. Once you've made changes you like, don't forget to save the plan with the new content. If you're having trouble deciding or need more expert advice, please visit an IKEA store or use our Remote kitchen planning assistance for Kitchen Planning.
  3. Consider payment methods and financing
Once your final plan is set, it's time to think about how to pay for the kitchen itself and any additional services. IKEA also offers support for kitchen payments (such as installment plans). Please consult with a kitchen specialist to find the best payment method for your wishes, budget, and region.
  4. Consider and arrange additional services
Your price quote also includes an estimated cost for services such as delivery and kitchen assembly/installation. You can decide whether to use these services when you place your order. At that time, we will also coordinate the date and time of the service and provide you with the final price.

If you use IKEA's Kitchen installation service, we will book a home visit for a final check before installation. Please use the Kitchen cabinet installation service if you are unsure whether the kitchen cabinets can actually be installed.
During this visit, we will review the entire kitchen plan and check for any issues before installation.
This may result in some changes or additions to the plan, but this is a necessary step to ensure your new IKEA kitchen is delivered as smoothly as possible.
  5. Place an order
When you are ready to purchase, please book an appointment with our Remote kitchen planning assistance for Kitchen Planning. A kitchen specialist will go over your kitchen order with you one by one to ensure nothing is missed. We will help you proceed with your kitchen plan with confidence, including delivery and installation.
