A pull of the strings on IKEA PS 2014 pendant lamp gives the faintly glowing globe a shape that looks like a spaceship where light flows out of it. Made of black transparent plastic that’s partly recycled.

The plastic of the lamp is transparent, which creates a cosy mood light when you turn it on.
The strings work like a manual dimmer – when you pull them a distance is created between the parts of the globe and light flows out.

"I've always been a big fan of science fiction, which is easy to guess when you see IKEA PS 2014 pendant lamp. When it's closed, only a little light finds its way through the small gaps and transparent plastic of the globe, but a pull of the strings creates a distance between the parts and light flows out. The shape looks like a spaceship, but this lamp is much easier to assemble. You just click the parts together and it’s ready to float over the dining area or coffee table."
