Best I foundIanTried another portable induction but it ‚pulsed‘ on low setting making simmering v difficult. This is so much better with a much better power level for lower heat settings. The fan does come on after prolonged use, or if two pots are being used, but even then it’s quieter than others. And induction generally is much nicer to use than any conventional electric hob. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
So easy to useEadaoinI cook all our family dinners on this. Once we finish eating it has always cooled down fully and I just give it a quick wipe and put it away. Leaves the kitchen counter lovely and uncluttered and clean. Couldn't recommend highly enough. Heats up really fast and boils a saucepan of water quicker than the kettle. Apart from boiling water, you very rarely you need to use the top setting. Most cooking is done on the lower settings, saving money and energy. The one I have is a slightly older model and I've had it for 2 years without any problems. The only difference with this one seems to be the placement of the controls. I'm going to buy another one for my camper van.
Fine, but not comparable to a full stovetopErin-MarieWe bought this because our rental home came with an old fashioned electric range/stove. After using an induction cooktop for years, it’s hard to go back. This is certainly better than a standard electric cooktop, but not comparable to a full kitchen stove: it is very loud (the fan), it does not work as quickly, and the surface actually seems to get hot, which has not been my experience with other induction hobs.
