Wood arrived bowed and warpedPaulBought this as a simple shelving unit for an upstairs cupboard. Instructions are easy enough to follow and assembly should be straightforward enough.
I had a bit of trouble with assembly the vertical supports and their slats at first. I thought my floor must have been slightly uneven over the length of the beams where I was assembling it until I realised that all four vertical supports were warped and twisted in different ways.
Quality control on these pieces should be improved or it should be split into a multi-part support. Wood warps naturally with humidity and I would expect IKEA to be on top of this.
I've assembled it as best I could, pairing the supports in such a way that it was at least stable but it has a definite lean to it and the shelves struggle to span the warped width at one end. First IKEA product I've ended up very disappointed with.

Assembly was simple just follow the instructions and have a screwdriver and hammer ready. The whole thing took maybe 15–20 minutes max. The storage box on wheels is super handy for hiding away clutter or storing larger items.
Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a practical and good-looking storage solution!
