This sofa converts quickly and easily into a spacious bed when you remove the back cushions and pull out the underframe.
Storage space under the chaise longue. The lid stays open so you can safely and easily take things in and out.
You can angle the loose back cushions any way you like, and adapt the seat depth and back support to suit your needs.
You can place the chaise longue section to the left or right of the sofa, and switch whenever you like.
Made from Borgunda fabric in twill which gives the cover a nice drape. Chenille yarns with contrasting colours add depth and a soft feel to the fabric.
The cover is easy to keep clean as it is removable and can be washed.

After 2 years of use, cushions are not existentYelizAfter 2 years of use, the cushions of the IKEA Holmsund sofa have effectively worn out and become nonexistent, leading to discomfort and loss of support. This issue particularly affects the seat cushions, which can become so compressed that the wooden slats underneath are felt during use, making the sofa uncomfortable.
Initially, I was happy with the sofa’s look and functionality—it fit my space well and the storage chaise was handy. However, the rapid deterioration of the cushions has been a major downside.
The fabric has held up reasonably well, but the overall seating experience is no longer pleasant. I expected better longevity given the price. Ultimately, while the Holmsund is stylish and clever in design, the lack of durable comfort means I cannot recommend it if you’re planning to use it as your main sofa.1
Looks Good at First, But Wears Out Quickly
EwaI purchased this sofa bed about a year ago. At first, I was quite happy with it — the design looked good and it seemed like a solid choice. Unfortunately, after only a year of regular use, the quality has really let me down. The cushions and fabric are already worn out and deformed, making the sofa look much older than it actually is. While I did like it initially, I'm disappointed by the poor quality of the foam and fabric. I expected it to last longer.
