Fabric pilling after barely any useSarahThis sofa bed is super comfortable, but we bought it in the orangey color and the fabric on the seat area is balling and pilling after very little usage, which is disappointing. We have literally only had it a couple of months, and it is in a spare room so is not even the main sofa. We had the L-shaped version before in grey for years (as our main sofa), and the material was much better quality. I wish we had know the fabric was different on this model.2

Material

What is coated fabric?

If you want a leather feel and an easy-care surface, coated fabric is a durable alternative – often at a lower price. We use fabric made of recycled polyester and have begun a transition from fossil-based to renewable material in the coating. Dimethylformamide (DMF) is a solvent that’s common in production, but since 2016 we’re instead using a water-based solvent.
