Focus on the bed’s first impression

For a revamp that can be as impactful as repainting, switch duvet cover sets to a different pattern, colour or material. Many duvet cover sets are made of blended materials. Assess the window treatments

First, check that curtains or blinds are functional. Do guests need to make the room darker or more private? Are block-out curtains still doing their job?

Next, consider the window treatments in relation to the bedding. Do they match or complement each other? If the bedding is a solid colour, would patterned curtains liven things up? Vice versa?
