3 easy Halloween treats

Don’t get haunted by big expectations just because it’s All Hallows’ Eve. Here are three simple treats you can prepare yourself or together with your crew to get into the party mood. Click here to see our new Halloween 2025 collection.

1. Choose a chilling drink

Fill a muffin tin with water and pop a spooky plastic toy in each hole (find them in party shops). Freeze and put the cubes of fear in a bowl to keep the witches’ brew (organic lingonberry drink) cool. Don’t put the cubes in your drinks – no one wants to choke!

2. Go for gourmet ghosts (and cut down on sugar too)

Make your own treats at home instead of buying sweets. Stack left-over or ready-made pancakes. Use cardboard to make a couple of ghoulish shapes, then cut round them with a knife. Create your own scary deco using jam.

Shop all bakeware
Why not prepare some Halloween dishes together with the kids this holiday? Skip the traditional Halloween hues and go for lilac side plates. IKEA has a lot of dinnerware such as ARV side plates. Plus they’re microwave- and dishwasher-safe.
Cut out some scary pancakes with a knife. IKEA offers ready-made frozen pancakes that are easy to heat up. Serve on a side plate such as ARV in lilac and ÖVERSIKT dotted low glasses that are easy for the kids to grab and drink from!

3. Make a ghoulish goodie bag

Keep it simple and go for ready-made bags that you decorate yourself. Cut out bats from card (we used gift tags) and stick them on. Fill them with terrifying treats (we used buns and chocolate coconut balls decorated with coloured cream and jam).

Shop the paper shop
Create a fun gift bag for your Halloween treats, just add your own fun deco. IKEA has cute goodie bags for your sweets, such as GIVANDE candy bag made from paper. It can also be recycled._
Make your own holiday Halloween treats! Just cut out some bats to glue on a couple of paper candy bags and fill them (we used IKEA WINTER gift tags) with something sweet.
