IKEA Family Terms and Conditions
General terms and conditions
The IKEA Family loyalty programme, the use of the IKEA Family card (and any temporary IKEA Family card that is issued at any time), any visits and any rewards under the programme are all subject to the following terms and conditions.
You accept these terms and conditions when you sign up to the IKEA Family loyalty programme. These terms and conditions may change from time to time so please check the website regularly. When we refer to "you" and "your" we mean the IKEA Family member. When we refer to “we”, "us" and "our" we mean IKEA Ireland Limited.
The IKEA Family card and the temporary IKEA Family card is issued by us and remains our property.
Eligibility: To be eligible you must be:-
a) a Republic of Ireland resident; and
b) aged 18 or over.
Changes and modifications: We may alter or amend any aspect of the IKEA Family loyalty programme at any time at our sole discretion. We can end the IKEA Family loyalty programme (giving 14 days’ notice), refuse to issue IKEA Family cards, and cancel IKEA Family cards at our sole discretion and for any reason.
Any IKEA Family card usage applies to the IKEA Republic of Ireland stores only. From time to time, other promotional partners may be part of the IKEA Family loyalty programme. These third-party promotions will also be subject to the terms and conditions of the third party involved.
The IKEA Family card is not transferable and can only be used by the person whose signature is on the card.
The IKEA Family card is not a debit or credit card or a guarantee card
Cancellation of your IKEA Family Account: You may cancel your IKEA Family membership at any time by opting to delete your IKEA Family Account within the account settings. If you do so, you will no longer be able to benefit from the IKEA Family membership and its benefits and rewards. Any benefits or rewards accrued at the date of cancellation will be forfeited and cannot be redeemed following cancellation.
Termination or suspension of your IKEA Family Account: We may, in our sole discretion, terminate or suspend your IKEA Family membership by providing notice to your registered email address if:
(a) you have not provided accurate, current and complete information including a verifiable email address and mobile number within thirty (30) days of creation of your IKEA Family membership;
(b) we consider, or have reasons to believe, that your use of the IKEA Family membership is or is likely to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions;
(c) we suspect fraud, unauthorised use or abuse of our services, benefits and rewards, or any other use of the IKEA Family membership that we consider not acceptable to IKEA; or
(d) your IKEA Family Account has been inactive for more than 36 months. By inactivity, we mean, for example, that you have not interacted with IKEA including but not limited to logging in to your profile, placing items in your shopping basket, adding items to your wish list, or making a purchase which is recorded in your IKEA Family Account.
Actions upon suspension: Upon suspension, your IKEA Family Account may be blocked for further usage until you have taken our recommended action (as communicated to you by email) to unblock the IKEA Family Account (e.g. to unlock an unverified new IKEA Family Account, you must provide us a verifiable email address and mobile number).
Consequences of termination: Upon termination, all rights and obligations under these Terms and Conditions will automatically terminate except for any rights which have accrued up to the date of termination any payment obligations, and the sections contained within these Terms and Conditions entitled “Intellectual property”, “Limitation of liability” and “Applicable law and disputes”.
Rectifying breaches: If any rewards or benefits awarded to a member under these Terms and Conditions are subsequently found to have been issued as a result of or in connection with a breach of these Terms and Conditions or any fraud or unauthorized use of the IKEA Family membership, or due to errors of IKEA, IKEA reserves the right to cancel or reverse any reward voucher or points or other benefit issued to the member.
Duplicate accounts: one individual may only have one IKEA Family membership at any one time. IKEA reserves the right to:
(a) refuse the opening of a duplicate account;
(b) merge duplicate accounts; or
(c) close additional accounts at any time.
Rewards from IKEA Family
Effective from 27/08/2024
Points: As an IKEA Family member, you can collect points that you can convert into offers, so called rewards. To enjoy these points, you must have an active IKEA Family Account with the possibility to login on IKEA.com in the Republic of Ireland.. In order to collect points, you must be a member of the IKEA Family programme located and operated in the Republic of Ireland.
Points validity period: Points are valid during a period of 18 months from the date of collection (i.e. the date of the interaction or purchase that triggered the points). After this point, the points will automatically expire, and the rewards will be forfeited. You can check your total number of available points at any time by accessing your IKEA Family Account on the IKEA.com website or the IKEA App.
