For busy mornings in shared bathrooms, a shower curtain can help keep the whole house happy, and they also protect the floor from the soapy splashes of your hot shower. 

Measurements and shower curtains  

Make sure to consider which size shower curtain you need for your bathroom, including how and where you want to attach it. If you have a rod that’s already fixed to the walls or ceiling, you’ll need to measure the space between the rail and the floor to make sure you buy the correct length. 

The second factor to consider is whether you need a shower curtain for a standing shower or next to a bathtub. For a shower, the curtain needs to reach the floor to prevent water from flowing out into the bathroom and making a mess. For next to a bathtub, you’ll want to pick a shorter curtain, so you can tuck it inside the tub when showering, and outside when taking a bath.

Choosing shower curtain materials 

Some of our shower curtains can be put in the wash, which can come in handy depending on how and where they’re used. Our vinyl or plastic shower curtains are unlikely to need washing as they have a rubbery texture which can be rinsed easily. 

On the other hand, a polyester style is only water-repellent, not waterproof. However, as it’s made from recycled materials, it’s the most environmentally friendly choice.
