With block-out curtains you won’t get your sleep disturbed by moonlight and street lights - or be woken by the sun when you want to sleep in late. The heavy fabric falls softly and evenly.

The fabric blocks out all light and glare on TV/screens. It gives complete privacy as shapes or light cannot be perceived from outside and the transition between day/night cannot be distinguished

Perfect for people who are sensitive to light during sleep, anytime of the day.

Curtains can reduce solar heat and heat loss from draughty windows. For best results, hang them close to the window from floor to ceiling, and let them overlap the frame on the sides to minimise gaps.

Curtains with heading tape allow you to hang the curtain directly on the curtain rod using the rod pocket or tabs. You can also hinge the curtain onto a track rail using gliders and hooks.

The curtain is light and has a nice feel to the material. It actually blocks out 100% of incoming lights, the colour suites my bedroom. I hope to get another colour so I can change it up in Summer.

What is polyester?

Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
