This is how you return
At IKEA we make returning products easy. You have a full 365 days to return a product, unopened, opened, unused or even fully assembled. You can return the product to any IKEA store, even if you purchased it at another IKEA store or at IKEA.fi. Please bring the proof of purchase with you. If you have swiped your IKEA family-card, we can help you to find the digital receipt.
In addition we offer a 90-night trial on mattresses, duvets and pillows (excluding decorative pillows).

In store returns IKEA store
- You can return a product by taking it to your nearest IKEA store
- Register your return in advance and we'll serve you faster when returning products
Return by post
You can return the product to a Posti’s service point or parcel locker
Package dimensions:
- To the post office max 25 kg (not for opened mattresses)
- To the Post Office machine 59x60x36 cm, max 25 kg
For customers of the online, remote selling and Planning and Order point:
- If you register a return within 14 days from the date of delivery, the return is free of charge
- When you register a return within 14 to 365 days from the date of delivery, the return fee is 4,90
IKEA store customer:
- When you register a return within 365 days from the date of purchase or delivery, the return fee is 4,90
Truck return
- You can return products as a trucn return when the weight of the items to be returned exceeds 25 kg or the size of the product/package is larger than 80 x 150 cm.
- The service price is the same as the Delivery to your address service and is determined by the value of the returned products and your postal code.
- Our partner will pick up the products from your address.
- If necessary, the returned product must also be disassembled so that it can be easily carried into the transport vehicle.
- The returned product must be protected to ensure it remains intact during transport.
- If you want to exchange the product, create a new order for the new products. Then register the truck return and choose the same pickup time as the delivery time for the new order.
- If the product return involves a claim follow the instructions on the Claims page
Cancellation of the order
It is possible to cancel an order on the Track and Manage your order page, if the order has not been processed too far. If it is no longer possible to cancel your order, you will see a message on the page. This may be because processing of your order, such as picking, has already started, or because your order is linked to a service that cannot be cancelled via our website. In these cases, you can enquire about the possibility of cancellation from our customer service.
