How does bathroom planning work?

IKEA bathroom planning is a free planning service available both in-store and online. Bathroom planning lasts approximately one hour. You can also plan your bathroom using one of our free online planning tools.

During your appointment, you will meet an IKEA bathroom salesperson at IKEA store or online. The salesperson will help you plan your bathroom furniture with storage and flow for smoother bathroom routines and easier days. 
This is how it works:
  1. Get inspired. Spend some time browsing bathroom ideas to get inspired or start your own plan using our online bathroom planners. 

    If you use one of our online planning tools to create your bathroom design, be sure to save the design code. You’ll need it to edit your plan later or to use it during a planning session with a salesperson. You can find your planning code at the end of the planning tool page by selecting 'Finalise'. If you prefer to receive a link or an email with your specific design and planning code, select 'Save for later' and follow the on‑screen steps.
  2. Book an appointment. You can choose to book a palnning appointment either online or at your nearest IKEA store.
  3. Measure your space. The IKEA planning salesperson will need details about the space or room. Record measurements of height, width and depth as well as positions and dimensions of electrical outlets, doors and windows. 
  4. What do you need? Make a list of all your essential needs and wishes to create your dream space. 
  5. Take pictures. A drawing or a photo of the space can be very useful.  
  6. Need to reschedule or cancel your appointment? Follow the link in your confirmation email if you need to reschedule or cancel your planning appointment.
  7. Discuss your dreams and wishes with an IKEA bathroom salesperson during your appointment. You will receive a 3D plan and a shopping list with everything you need. The planning appointment lasts approximately one hour.
  8. Take time to assess the plan and next steps. You can make design changes if needed by accessing the plan sent to you via email. When you’re happy with the final design, visit IKEA in-store or online to book an appointment to finalise your plan.
