Is IKEA bedding hypoallergenic?

Our collection does not include separately designated hypoallergenic bed linens.

IKEA bed linens are not specifically hypoallergenic, and the most common allergen in bedding is often dust mites. An allergic reaction may be caused by dust mites rather than the bedding material itself. Regular washing and airing of bed linen helps prevent dust mite build-up.
Dust mites can be avoided by taking care of the necessary ventilation and allowing damp bedding to dry completely. Dust mites thrive in warm and humid environments. If you are allergic to dust mites, it is important to wash your bedding often. Dust mites die at a temperature of 60°C. All our bedding can be washed at this temperature. Airing the products in freezing temperatures also kills dust mites.
