Can DIRIGERA hub be repaired and/or recycled?

We do not offer repairs of DIRIGERA hub. For recycling, special waste handling may be required. Please contact your local authorities for more information.

 

  • Do I need DIRIGERA hub if I have a similar hub or bridge from another brand?

    Yes. DIRIGERA hub is needed to use the IKEA Home smart app and to connect smart products from IKEA to your smart home.

  • What ways are there to control my smart home, to turn the lights on or off, etc.?

    With DIRIGERA hub in your home, you enjoy new ways of managing your smart products from IKEA – individually, by room or simultaneously.

  • Can I add multiple DIRIGERA hubs to one home?

    Yes. But the IKEA Home smart app can only be connected to one hub at a time.

  • Can I migrate my smart home set-up and smart products from TRÅDFRI gateway to DIRIGERA hub?

    No. Since your smart home set-up with TRÅDFRI gateway is stored locally only, and since the app connected to DIRIGERA hub comes with new digital features, you will need to re-create scenes after pairing your smart products.

  • For how long will I be able to use my smart products with DIRIGERA hub?

    Already purchased smart products from IKEA can be connected to DIRIGERA hub and managed in the IKEA Home smart app.

  • Can I keep my TRÅDFRI gateway or do I need to change to DIRIGERA hub?

    It is not neccessary to change from TRÅDFRI gateway to DIRIGERA hub, the gateway and the app will still be supported.
