These items represent edge finishes and preparation work for custom‑made worktops and wall panels. They are carried out directly by the manufacturer and therefore appear as additional products in your item list.
How do I add a custom-made worktop to the METOD kitchen planner?
You can design a custom‑made worktop in the METOD kitchen planner by selecting it from the edit menu. Please note that your kitchen design must be reviewed by our IKEA kitchen experts to ensure that the worktop fits perfectly into your new kitchen.
How to design a custom-made worktop in the METOD kitchen planner
- Select worktop: First, select one of the worktops available in the METOD kitchen planner and check the product description to confirm that it is a custom‑made worktop.
If you have already planned a cabinet with a different worktop, you can change it by clicking on the cabinet, selecting “Change”, and then choosing “Style/Colour” for the worktop. - Edit: Once you have selected your desired worktop, click “Customize” to continue editing it.
- Adjust dimensions: Would you like to change the dimensions yourself? Click “More options”.
What happens after you add a custom countertop?
Before you can order your kitchen, any design that includes a custom‑made worktop must be reviewed by our IKEA kitchen experts – either online or in an IKEA store.
